1. Who we are
Phoenix Driving is a family-run driving school based in Cirencester. We offer driving lessons and one-to-one driver training in Cirencester and the surrounding area.
Instructors: Mike Dunnaway 07787 198005 and Rebecca Dunnaway 07967 490522
Email: Driving@PhoenixDriving.org
Website: www.PhoenixDriving.org
Our instructors are approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). They are on the register of fleet driver trainers and are registered with the Motor Schools Association of Great Britain.
2. What we teach
We teach in dual-controlled manual cars only. We do not offer automatic driving lessons.
Training is one to one. We also offer Pass Plus, motorway lessons, refresher lessons, and training for nervous or older drivers. Company car driving assessments are priced on application.
You must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence, and wear any glasses or contact lenses your licence requires.
3. Lesson price and payment
The hourly lesson rate is the rate shown on our Prices page.
If we change our prices, that does not apply to people already learning with us.
We accept payment by bank transfer, PayPal, Bitcoin or cash. Payment is due as agreed when the lesson is booked, and in any event no later than the lesson unless we have agreed otherwise.
All pupils are given access to an online theory training programme at no extra charge.
4. Booking
You can book by phone, email, or the contact form on this website. We aim to reply to website messages within 48 hours.
A booking is confirmed when we agree a date and time with you.
5. Cancellation and missed lessons
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or you miss the lesson, we may still charge for that lesson.
If we have to cancel (for example weather, illness, or the car is unavailable), we will not charge you for that lesson and we will rearrange it.
6. During the lesson
Lessons take place in our dual-controlled training cars. Tuition is covered by our instructor insurance.
You must be fit to drive. We can end a lesson immediately, and may charge for it, if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if your behaviour makes it unsafe to continue.
7. Driving tests
You are responsible for booking and paying for your own theory and practical tests with the DVSA. We can advise when you are ready.
We reserve the right not to take you for your practical test if we do not think you are ready.
We are not responsible for test centre delays, cancellations, or examiner decisions.
8. Your details
We use your name, phone number, email and address only to run your lessons and reply to you. We do not sell your details. You can ask us to delete them when you are no longer a pupil, unless we still need them for records or the law.
9. Complaints
If something is wrong, phone or email us using the details above and we will look into it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
